Mercury Prize Short List 2005 Announced

The shortlist of 12 albums for 2005's Nationwide Mercury Award have been announced. The award is one designed to recognize the full range of achievement in British and Irish music. Each year a shortlist of 12 is selected with an "Album Of the Year" to be awarded in September. See the details on this year's short list.
