Ashlee Simpson Returns to Saturday Night Live October 8th

Some say Ashlee Simpson's October 24, 2004 appearance on Saturday Night Live nearly destroyed her fledgling career as a pop/rock singer. Others contend that the surrounding controversy has insured that she has held on to more than 15 minutes of fame. Regardless of which camp is correct, she will get the opportunity for redemption this Saturday, October 8, 2005 when she once again takes the stage as Saturday Night Live's musical guest.

The next 2 weeks may indeed make or break Ashlee Simpson's musical career. Her new single "Boyfriend" is climbing the charts, she is scheduled for an October 13th appearance on Oprah, and her album I Am Me appears in stores October 18th along with saturation appearances on Good Morning America, Live With Regis and Kelly, and MTV's TRL.
