Friday Fun Video: Pink - "Stupid Girls"

It's an easy choice picking a video this week. Pink's satirical jab at "stupid girls" is a must-see. Laugh at the parodies of Britney, Jessica, Lindsay, and the Olsen twins, but there is also a serious message here that makes the video well worth watching. In the end, will the girl pick the Barbie or the football? I'm eagerly awaiting the album now, but it won't be available until early April.

Watch for yourself and see whether you think the striped pants, bare midsection and fedora is a nod at Britney or not. There seems to be some disagreement

This video, though funny at times, is highly ridiculous. Who says that just because a girl is pretty, that she is also stupid? For instance, the girl running on the treadmill in this video isn’t doing anything stupid at all! She’s running! Running is healthy, not stupid. Anyone who thinks running is stupid is either fat or lazy. Also Pink makes fun of having blonde hair…yet isnt she a natural blonde? Another thing, how do we know that the girls shes making fun of in this video arent smart? That’s right, we dont and neither does pink.
Bottom line: Pink should probably find a better way to deal with her own insecurities, rather that bashing on other peoples problems. This video was a sad excuse for talent.

Kelly Clarkson is nova-days, the only woman out there, who doesn’t do that kind of a slutty impression about herself, and she is still up there singing, WITHOUT STRIPPING!! And I am not her fan, but I appreciate her, for not taking her clothes off!

I’ve just seen Pink’s videoclip this morning and I can say only one thing: it hit right on the mark! These lyrics are especially poignant:

She’s dancing in a video, next to 50 Cent.
It’s a very satirical, ironic piece of work and I’m glad to see that at least some artists are opening their eyes and seeing that this world is not all about perfect bodies, the latest in designer clothes or the 101 Ways to Degrade Yourself list. We are in serious need of strong role-models for today’s young generation of girls and things are starting to look a tad bit good. One can only hope that they continue this way…

I love the video, I think Pink did a terrific job. All the girls that she is making fun on the video are really, truely stupid and dumb, I even feel sorry for them because they are so unhappy with who they are that they do anything to call the public’s attention. To me not only are they stupid but rich sluts.
Too many girls are self-conscious these days, and like to PRETEND to be stupid. However, guys seem to find this attractive, so I don’t blame girls for having these celebrities as their role models. I think guys need to start sending the message across that Pink has, if they honestly find these “stupid girls” unattractive.

Pink deserves a standing ovation for this song. She simply sang what we all think and not only that, she made it funny. Young girls today don’t have a role model to look up to that isn’t half naked, sluty or stupid. Paris Hilton is a joke. Did you see her with the little girl from the Make-A-Wish foundation? It’s a sad day when she’s someone a 14 year old girl looks up to. I saw the tape on TMZ.com and she didn’t even connect with the little girl; you can tell Paris was just doing it for the publicity. Lindsay Lohan was prettier when she was natural. Why do girls want to grow up so fast? Pink rocks!!! She’s awesome and she makes music everyone can relate too.
This has to be the best music video I’ve seen in a long time. The message is fantastic, I just hope that it gets out to those who really need it. Not a huge Pink fan myself, but respect her greatly for being herself and not stooping to the same lows so many other female performers have in the past.

To “this video sucks”: The girl on the treadmill with the boobs and the guy who walked up to her were laughing at the other girl who was undressing, desperate to get the guy’s attention~but maybe you were too busy bashing to realize that.

You can’t even spell and as for prom queen.. doubtful. Maybe Queen of the ghetto. As for Pinks video (of whom i’m not a fan of) I thought it was extremely brave of her to stand up for women and send out a message. A lot of the girls she talks about ( ex Lohan) dont even have their highschool completed. I hope the youth of today are smart enough to understand what Pink is getting across to them. Although i do not like Pink’s music i extremely admire her now and consider msyelf to be a fan.
