Something Corporate's Andrew McMahon Performs First Concert After Battling Leukemia

Monday January 30, 2006

Last Wednesday, January 25, 2006, was a milestone day in the young life of Andrew McMahon (second from right in photo), lead vocalist for the band Something Corporate. He took to the stage at L.A.'s Viper Room to peform publicly for the first time since being stricken with acute lymphoblastic leukemia last May. Following 2 rounds of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant from his sister, McMahon is in remission and his prognosis is good.

The concert was a complete set of the songs from Everything in Transit, the first album by Andrew McMahon's solo project, Jack's Mannequin. At one point during the concert rock legend Tommy Lee joined him onstage.

Read a full account of Andrew McMahon's battle with leukemia.
