Destiny's Child To Reunite To Say Farewell...Again

I guess we could have seen this coming. Destiny's Child had one of the most elegant, tasteful farewell processes of any major pop group in recent history last year...but wait, we've got one final farewell. As the publicity goes, in a bow to their native city of Houston, Texas, the trio will perform the national anthem at the NBA All-Star Game February 19, 2006. Mark this date...it is the final farewell. I will excuse you if you are a bit skeptical, like me.

However, my skepticism does not take away from looking forward to the hits yet to come from each member. They all 3 look better positioned than ex-members of some of the great groups of the past. Here is what we know is in the works:

• Beyonce - The films Pink Panther and Dreamgirls in 2006 plus a likely new solo album soon after.
• Kelly Rowland - Guest appearances on the TV show Girlfriends and an album Simply Deep due June 13, 2006.
• Michelle Williams - A 3rd solo album due in late summer 2006.
