Shakira Dominates Billboard Latin Music Awards

Shakira has done quite well recently at crossing over into the pop arena, but she remains very popular with her core Latin audience. Last week at the Billboard Latin Music Awards she went home with 6 awards, 3 more than Daddy Yankee, the artist with the second most citations.
The big winners for Shakira were "La Tortura," her Spanish-language duet with Alejandro Sanz and the Spanish-language album Fijacion Oral, Vol. 1.

She deserves all the prices, but I liked more the young Shakira, the colombian-oriental girl who was genuine.
