It has been 4 days, but the online world still seems to be buzzing about Clay Aiken's return to primetime television on Wednesday night's American Idol Finale. A few selected posts:

I am sooooooooooo happy Clay Aiken is back !!!!!
I could not believe the rumor that Clay was “upset” over having to sing with Michael. How lame. Wasn’t that the purpose of the skit?
Clay’s fans know him better than those who think they do. He is the most unselfish performer when it comes to giving others a chance to share the spotlight, whether it be a child, a fan or a back up singer…always has been and always will be.
Without any promotion, publicity, or introduction, Clay slipped onto that stage to surprise Michael and then quietly left with little TV fanfare.
It wasn’t a matter of “avoiding the media” as some claim, but recognizing the night was about Taylor and Kat…not the return of Clay Aiken per se, although that’s what it amounted to. What a surprise!

Although he was never ‘gone’, just busy with his CD, it was wonderful to see him performing again.
I don’t believe he was upset about performing with Michael. Poor Michael didn’t have sense enough to stop. He was so excited about meeting Clay.
For all the Clay fans we know how big his voice is but his heart is 100 times bigger. He did this to make this guys dream come true. Clay was just glowing because of how happy Michael was to see him nothing else really mattered to him. No one could have predicted that this was going to be such a big moment for Clay and Clay would want the night to belong to Taylor and Katherine. The Lord sure put him in that spot for a reason.
He looks just like a combination of KD Lang and Liza Mineli. There is no way that guy is straight.
Clay Aiken is one HOT SUPERSTAR! In just those short 2-3 minutes he managed to wake up a lot more fans to what quite a few of us already know. He has the “IT” factor in spads, a bodacious bod , and a heart that would melt all of Alaska! Thank you Clay for being beautiful both on the outside and the inside!
