Black Eyed Peas' Fergie Flies Solo With "London Bridge"

Wednesday July 5, 2006

Stacy Ferguson (aka "Fergie" - pictured at right as Cosmo's August cover girl), the female voice in hip-hop/pop group Black Eyed Peas, is taking a solo flight. Her first album, titled The Dutchess, will be in stores September 19, 2006. As an appetizer for the album, the first single "London Bridge" is out.

Thanks to a heads up from the FergieFan web site, I was able to download the single from SendSpace and listen. Head there yourself and let us know what you think.

Be forewarned of the "Oh Sh**" chorus and some other objectionable words if you are sensitive to language.

WELL if it didnt sound exactly like gwen stefani’s hit “BANANAS” it would be cool . THAT SOUND IS SO LAST YEAR so for her first single as asoloist they shouldve chose a song that identified her as a original artist w/ an original sound not a direct copy of gwen . i feel she need to find her own identity and stop being something she isnt!

Good for Fergie!
I think the song is phat, she knocked this one out of the ballpark…She doesn’t sound like Gwen, it’s just “the” sound right now…Best summer song yet!

I don’t think this song sounds like ‘Hollaback Girl’ and I don’t think she sounds like Gwen AT ALL. I absolutely love it! Very fun and probably my favorite song right now!

I love BEP and Fergie rocks. This is awesome for her career. This song is crazy good. I really don’t know where people get the idea that it’s sound like Gwen, it doesn’t. I am gonna buy her CD when it comes out!!
