This is the second single from the upcoming album 20 Y.O. due in stores September 26, 2006. Nudity, hints at s&m, and those whispery vocals over a martial dance beat. I'm resisting the urge to just say I've seen and heard it all before from Janet, but take a look and let me know what all of you think...

Miss Jackson is BACK! Can Beyonce dance ike that? No, she can’t. Janets’s pushing videos to another game. Stars like her and Madonna will always rise higher than the rest. Why? They embrace change and that’s hard for some people. Go on Miss Nasty! 20 y.o. in stores 26 Sept 06. I’ve already pre-ordered 10 copies. Janet will be number 1 this time around!
Also, she’s 40 y.o., and still looks and performs better than Ciara, Beyonce, Britney, and Christina. You can’t deny talent or beauty. She’s raised the standards. How can MTV deny this video? They need to just get over the Superbowl crap and move on. So much has happened in the world. It’s time to change. Wait…does she really need MTV? No, not really. “Call On Me” has reached #1 on the R&B charts. Without their assistance. It hard to keep a woman down, and Janet’s in it to win it! I can’t wiat to see her in concert. I love the JACKSONS!
If first video was sor of lame and boring, this one is just AWESOME! Did you see that chair!!! I have to say this one is #1 material

OMG!! This video is Janet at her best. The dance moves are awesome and I hate to compare artist but she spanked everyone on this on. I love the special effects, the chair being busted and hear attitude, fierce! The one thing I love about Janet is she brings something new and fresh in your face and your left with your mouth open wanting more. Janet’s back baby so all you haters, move aside!!
That was a HOTT video. Great song! She looked great the dancing and special effects were totally innovative. She’s definetely stepping up the game!
I hate to be the one to sound like a hater because I LOVE Janet but I’m not ’so excited’ about this video. I mean it is better than the last one but I still feel like it’s not up to her standards as an artist. I feel like these songs and videos are examples of her resting on her laurels. And that’s probably her least inspired dance in a video ever! She has been an innovative and pioneering pop diva in the past but now I feel like she’s just going through the motions. Maybe it’s because she’s so happy in her personal life. I mean when she was depressed she did The Velvet Rope and that was classic musically, lyrically, and visually and the tour was off the chain! I still have the album on preorder and I’m definitely going to see her live this time out but I still expect more from her.

The video is AWESOME. They cut too much of the dancing out b/c on Access Granted you got to see alot more of it. BUT I think it’s gonna be a HIT and it should be!
“Act Bad, Don’t Hurt Me, Look Sexy, Talk Dirrty!”. You can actually sample her entire album on Walmart.com. That’s very brave for an artist to release samples of an album two week prior to its release. It just goes to show you that she has the confidence in her material. To be honest, I haven’t enjoy an entire album from Janet since Janet./RN1814. Don’t get me wrong I like certain songs from VR/A4u/DJ. I’ve been a fan for 20 y.o, and I can say that I enjoy the entire album. I pre-ordered 10 copies to help Damita Jo. The SEX video if off da chain! Khia looks great, “My Neck, My Back, Look Sexy, Talk Dirrty!”. I did purchase the Beyonce cd, but it really sucked. Yes, it did sell 550k in its first week. But the quality of work is by far less than 20 Y.O. or Back to Basics. Beyonce recorded it in 3wks. Who records a CD in 3wks and why? Beyonce is very talented, but it’s about Janet this time around, ENJOY!

This vid exceeded my expectations. I LOVE it! This is just classic Janet. She is dancing her butt off. This is how videos should be made. I noticed Bill that you said you’ve seen and heard it all before, but when Janet does something different, people complain that they want the old Janet back. When she brings the old Janet back, people say it’s what she’s always done. I don’t get it. Thanks for posting the video.

Finally Janet is back is back in full effect. I have been waiting to see the Janet that I have loved for so long. It seems she went missing for a while. Finally I have her back. This video is incredible and I am SO EXCITED.

I continually am more and more disappointed by Janet. I am beginning to wonder if she is even able to market or sell records with her clothes on? I am not conservative in the least, but the topless tits out thing has been very played out, especially since her music doesn’t seem to get any better. The last time she actually grew and created some artistic music was the ‘Velvet Rope’…since then, each album could easily just morph into the other….she needs to focus on talent, good songwriting, new producers and show us what she can do with her shirt on!

Listen Bill: It’s clear that you don’t know how to review music of this nature. Why don’t you stick to Britney and the like. Now then, the video brings something new to the table. And as far as I’ve seen it before, Ummm this is a celebration of her Control album 20 years ago so of course she’s going to remind us of what that era was about. You know, give a nod. There is no other video out there like this and the dancing is on point. To this day, there is and will never be another entertainer like Janet. And that, Lamb, is truly sad ( and your review).

Janet has set standards for female artist, the same michael has done for the male artist. With the arms in a pointing position with the neck move gives a hommeage to a dance move by her brothers” the jacksons”. I LOVE IT!!! I truly consider myself her biggest fan… i truly believe. I just wish she didn’t always have to talk about sex all the time. the see thru segment was really not neccessary. True fans and just fans in general, really aren’t turned on by that. This new video while its “concept” may not be ground breaking. In the end, Janet gave fans (particularly younger ones) what they wanted..great dancing/entertainment in her videos.
Is the video the best JJ video ever? Probably not, but it cannot be denied that the video is (in the words of people a lot younger than me) AWESOME!!!
I’m proud that Miss Jackson is showing that she can still out shine the younger girls.
As we know, society doesn’t make it that easy.
So give JJ a break…and ENJOY the 20 Y.O. era.

I think the video is great! Great beat!!…I just find it surprising that you gave justing timberlake such a great review when I thought the music was all over the place and no real focus….it sounds like the same old drab out there…I did enjoy few of the tracks but definitely can’t listen to it all the way thru…
But, I digress….from what I have heard from Janets album, I enjoy the beats, the lyrics…yes, she is semi-nude, yes, she has suggestive lyrics…but maybe its more of a statement…kinda like “hey, f*ck the fcc”…My opinion, but I must say Janet is offering something different with an edge that others will soon follow and I’m sure critics will call it innovative that time around…seriously pathetic…

My suggestion is to pay atention to how your opinion matches or doesn’t match that of a particular writer…then when he or she writes about something new, you might get a good idea of whether you’ll like that unfamiliar record based on what they wrote about other things you know.
Janet Jackson has NEVER ripped ANYBODY’S moves…Janet’s moves are always being ripped by others…Janet is original and has outdone herself as usual…The song is hot, the beat is hot, the choreography is SUPER HOT..Janet is the definition of a true artist, because she dosent just do it to entertain…She pleases herself more…She’s a strong woman…She is trully an inspiration.

And it clearly shows in all of their videos/performances–hell, Beyonce just ripped off Rhythm Nation a few weeks ago at the MTV awards. No, this isn’t Janet’s BEST video, but it is HOT and the x-ray vision aspect is definitely original. And compared to all the videos out there now–well, there just is no comparison. Janet was MTV’s first ever ICON for a reason. Love you Janet & can’t wait to hear the entire album and see you on tour!

Thought it pretty much sucked. I’m not impressed with the Jackson family anymore as a whole. But as for Janet, she is introducing trash into the minds of our children with her song lyrics and her dress or should I say “undress”. Her riches or popularity won’t help her when she stands before God on judgement day to give an account for her actions. I wish she didn’t have such of an influence over so many children who may try and imitate her lifestyle.
