We are now promised a firm release date for Katharine McPhee's self-titled debut album. The much-delayed project is due in stores January 30, 2007. The Cover is EXCELLENT, WONDERFUL!!! Just same as her sound…
The cover is somewhat provocative. It may give her the edge over the more “wholesome” covers of Kelly and Carrie. It does get your attention. It is not the image she portrayed on Idol. Hopefully it works for her and won’t backfire.

The cover caught my attention but she should’ve chosen something more tasteful. She is selling sex on this cover–certainly not the image she portrayed on Idol. Didn’t anyone tell her that her extraordinary vocal talent alone would sell millions of records.

i like it better than the one albuym cover in the commercials where it is just her face. I disagree about the image katharine portrayed on idol – i think she was always known for her sexy curves on her body and in her voice. the cover reminds me of her performance in “black horse, cherry tree” and “until you come back to me.” she looks confident – something she lacked at the end of the competition as she giot wraped up in the judges comments. she is so awesome.
I love the overall look, it is sexy without being trashy, but I don’t think the stripes were the perfect choice of outfits.
Oh my god! That cover is f*!@/% GREAT!! I love it! Sex sells! C’mon people accept it! Look nelly furtado.. she gets really famous in this new sexy album and look.. Music business is a lot of things, not only the voice but the whole package as an artist

Katharine is beautiful, but I won’t have this cover in my home. I love her voice, but we’ll be downloading this one. I think I’d rather see skin, than this pose.
