Kelly Clarkson and Those Rumors About Her Upcoming Album

Tuesday May 15, 2007

When it comes to the rumors flying around about Kelly Clarkson's upcoming album My December, apparently there is some truth floating around as well. The primary rumors were that when Clive Davis, legendary producer, label head, and a Kelly Clarkson mentor, heard the new album, he was not pleased and wanted to can the entire album. Apparently, the plans to throw the album away are fictitious, but conflict over the album's content was not. According to what Kelly Clarkson told MTV News, the disagreements over content are normal. However, the public and fans finding out is not.

According to Kelly Clarkson, "This time, everybody made a big deal about the label and me disagreeing with the record, but that's happened every record." Clarkson has tremendous confidence in her own judgment of the quality of her songs. The jury remains out on the latest single "Never Again." It recently soared to #5 on the Billboard pop singles chart, but pop radio airplay has stalled with the song just approaching the top 20.
