Jordin Sparks has signed a recording contract with Jive Records in conjunction with American Idol creator Simon Fuller's 19 Recordings. Her first album is due out in November, 2007. A first single, "Tattoo," a song produced by hitmakers Stargate, is expected at radio by the end of August.
Barry Weiss, president and CEO of the Zomba Label Group, parent of Jive, said "“Her poise, her amazing vocal ability, her relentless optimism has been apparent to millions of fans all around the world. We’re honored to have this burgeoning worldwide superstar on Jive Records.” Jive is the home label for Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, and the Backstreet Boys among many others.
