Mariah Carey's Sexy 'That Chick' Album Cover

Mariah Carey's 11th studio album That Chick is set to go on sale April 1, 2008. It is the long awaited follow up to her 2005 multi-platinum smash The Emancipation of Mimi. The album is rumored to include a guest appearance from T-Pain as well as production work from Jermaine Dupri, Stargate, and will.i.am.
One element of the upcoming release that is already drawing a great deal of attention is the cover (pictured). Some think that it does not put Mariah Carey in the best light while others consider it stunningly sexy. What is your opinion?

Even though she has amazing talent. A beautiful voice. She still feel the need to try an actually sell herself. Its a shame. She’s older now. Time to let the Betty Boop days go. I don’t like the cover. I like the head shot, but her body position is awkward. Did you realize she is showing the left side of her face. I know it sounds funny, but if you’re a Mariah fan, you would know that she doesn’t like showing that side of her face in pictures. I thought that was unusual for her to do, especially on an album cover.
I love it, I was wnodering what the hell she was going to do for this cover as the last one was a stunning take on previous album covers e.g. #1’s & Rainbow. I like it

This picture is just sexy.This is nothing compared to her Emancipation of Mimi pics which were elegant and sexy at the same time.
Im not a fan of this cover…i was hoping for a cover more in the style of TEOM,sexy but stylish but glamorous! Im hoping this is not the cover coz im sure Mariah could come up with something better.No doubt the music on it will be enough for it still to sell but im not a fan of either the title or the cover if im honest.
zenmarlie you should be corrected. It is not she Mariah Craey herself who does not like “that side” of her face (the left side). It was Tommy Mottola and all the big wigs who told her in the beginning to show the right side of her face therefore she would turn her head and basically only try to get right sided head shots in the beginning of her career. After her divorce she stated she purposely wanted the left side of her fave caught in the pictures. I think it is really great and observant of you to notice-good eye!!!
I didn’t really think about it until you said something about it. I too think it is VERY interesting that she is making a HUGE statement here on the CD cover with the right side of her face in the dark and the left side of her face with the light on it. INTERESTING!!! Just an FYI 
About a comment, I think she is always glamerous and gorgous. I was kind of disappointed when I saw she was wearing nothing but a hat over her body. Plus, the background is soooo dark. I like something a little more “lighted.” But that won’t stop me from loving her or buying her new album.
She would look better if the cover was entirely dark!!
mariah is stunningly gorgeous in this cover. No matter what other people will say. she is still the best from her sexy image up to her singing talents. this one is hot. the filipino people loves you mariah. just lose weight and everything will be ok. HATERS STOP hating mariah she is now untouchable nowadays. remember that.
