Guitar Hero III Game Brings British Power Metal Band Dragonforce to the Pop Singles Chart

Thursday January 24, 2008

If you are a fan of the wildly successful Guitar Hero III video game, you are probably already intimately familiar with the song "Through the Fire and Flames" by British power metal heroes Dragonforce. The song is considered one of the most difficult songs in the entire game series for players to duplicate. It includes incredibly intricate and fast guitar solos that will test the skills of any player.

The song was originally released on the Dragonforce album Inhuman Rampage in June, 2006. However, last week, buoyed by interest from fans of Guitar Hero III, "Through the Fire and Flames" made its debut on the Billboard pop singles chart at #60. No previous Dragonforce songs have hit the pop singles chart in the US. Check out the video below and marvel at the guitar artistry.
