Snap Judgment - Jesse McCartney - Leavin'
In 2007 Jesse McCartney proved he has musical talents to share beyond a focus simply on his own performing. "Bleeding Love," a song he co-wrote with OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, and recorded by rising pop star Leona Lewis, became the UK's biggest hit song of the year in 2007.
Fortunately, for his fans, Jesse McCartney has shifted his attention back to singing with a new album Departure due in stores May 20, 2008. The first single is "Leavin'" produced by red-hot The-Dream and Tricky Stewart. Listen to "Leavin'" and let us know your snap judgment!

When I first heard it I thought it was very different from what he usually produced. It is a very catchy song and from the video you can tell that he is trying to break away from the kids pop scene to a more mature audience. Though I believe it will be a big shock to his past fans, he may sustain older fans in upcoming CD. It will be interesting to see what will happen.
This song is rather catchy..and in my opinion, is a lot more different than what Jesse McCartney would sing..but I’m sure I can get over the shock of him, again, going towards another ’sub’genre of pop. This song is actually a very good song with very good lyrics. I hope this song will be sucessful, and for his album to also be sucessful, since ‘Right Where You Want Me’ was such a disappointment. Personally, I think ‘Right Where You Want Me’ was a great album, that showed Jesse getting older than his ‘Beautiful Soul’ days. And i think with ‘Departure’, it will also show how Jesse has grown too.
