She's only 33, but that didn't stop the Canadian music industry from inducting Alanis Morissette into their Hall of Fame and giving her a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Canadian Radio Music Awards held last Friday in Toronto.

Despite her young age, Morissette has been recording for nearly 20 years. She received her first recording contract at the age of 14. She has won 12 Juno Awards, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys. 3 of Alanis Morissette's albums and 6 of her singles have hit #1 on the Canadian charts. Worldwide, she has sold over 50 million albums.

Alanis Morissette's responce to the award included the statement, "To me, the greatest success is being able, as an artist, to capture what is going on at the moment. It's not a precious process for me. You just show up and be human."
