Artist in the Wings: Ludo

Friday March 14, 2008

Fans of "cancerously parasitic love songs" are falling in love with the St. Louis band Ludo making their major label debut on Island Records. The band performed last night in Austin at the South by Southwest music festival. Their lead single "Love Me Dead," from the recently released album You're Awful, I Love You, is storming modern rock radio in the US.

As the band embarks on a tour this spring with Presidents of the United States of America, look for pop fans to begin taking notice, too. The band play infectious, melodic pop with a decidedly twisted angle in their song lyrics. 4 years of hard work and incessant touring have brought them to this level. Indications are they could be one of the pop breakthrough acts of the year.
