Is Miley Cyrus Saying Goodbye to Hannah Montana?

Wednesday July 30, 2008
15-year-old Miley Cyrus recently told E-Online that her involvement with the TV show Hannah Montana may soon be ending. She said the third season may be the final one for the show. A representative of Disney, the network which broadcasts the show, was quick to downplay the rumors and indicated the company has an option for a 4th season. For her part, Cyrus explained she has no plans to leave the Disney family who also market her music.

The current success of Miley Cyrus as a pop star may provide a good reason for her to drop association with the show to focus on her music career. A new album Breakout will debut this week at the top of the Billboard album chart. She also has a hot single, "7 Things", on the chart. Miley Cyrus' pop music career is one of the most promising in the business. Do you think she should leave Hannah Montana? Let us know your opinion below.

I personally think that Miley should stick with the show and focus on her singing career. But she should only stick with the show till she’s done with High School. I mean the role is definately for a high school girl or under. I would hate to seee anyone take her place butshe won’t be able to fit that role forever. So focus on music she has a voice.

I feel she’s a better actress/comedian on Hannah Montana then she is a solo artist. I think her Miley Cyrus solo career has just as much “acting” behind it as her Hannah Montana alter-ego character.
