Fall Out Boy's New Album Folie a Deux May Be Delayed

Fall Out Boy's latest studio collection Folie a Deux was due to be released on election day November 4, 2008. However, according to the band's website, the release date is in doubt. The band state that they felt for 6 months it would be a "fun idea" to release the album on election day. However, now they say the stakes are too high and connecting the album with the political event would be seen as just a gimmick.

In an effort to ease anxiety among fans, the band offers a number of goodies including some small club concerts in the month of November that would allow intimate access by the horde of Fall Out Boy followers. Will Folie a Deux see the light of day before the end of 2008? The band says it is out of their hands at this point.
