"Hey You!" 311's New Single Is Really Catchy

By April 20, 2009

Follow me on:

It may not make it to mainstream pop radio, but that's no reason for pop fans to miss out on 311's new immediately engaging single "Hey You." 311 have been very consistent performers in modern rock circles for more than a decade. They have placed seven songs into the modern rock top 10 including the chart toppers "Down" and a cover of the Cure's "Love Song." However, 311's only appearances in the mainstream pop radio top 40 were with "All Mixed Up" in 1996 and "Love Song's" brief appearance in 2004. Despite 311's general absence from mainstream pop circles, "Hey You" is likely to excite more than a few pop fans with it's reggae bounce and a gorgeous dream pop break. It's already a top 20 hit at modern rock radio.
