Shakira Releases Spanish "Loba" In Advance of the English "She-Wolf"

Monday June 29, 2009

Shakira's last two albums, the Spanish Fijacion Oral, Vol. 1 and English Oral Fixation, Vol. 2, were massive worldwide hits. Both hit the top 5 of the US album chart and together included the huge worldwide pop hit singles "La Tortura" and "Hips Don't Lie." Her new material is eagerly awaited with positive advance notice.

Today the Spanish language version of Shakira's new single, "Loba," was released to radio. An English language version "She-Wolf" is expected to follow within weeks. The new sound of Shakira has strong retro disco elements, but it should be quite pleasing to her fans. A new album is expected this fall.
