There aren't a great number of details, but we now have a title, cover, and release date for Madonna's upcoming two disc greatest hits collection that completes her contractual obligations with Warner Brothers, her recording home since the beginning of her recording career in 1982. Celebration will hit stores September 29, 2009. Among the tracks included will be her very first single "Everybody." It was left off of both of her previous greatest hits compilations.

The cover was put together by a street pop artist called Mr. Brainwash. Various blogs have posted speculation as to where the image came from before being given the Andy Warhol treatment. It seems it's possibly even a photo-shopped compilation of past images of Madonna.

There will be new material on Celebration. The song "Celebration" co-written and co-produced by dance music master Paul Oakenfold has been confirmed as the first single. The remixes are expected to go to clubs tomorrow night July 24, 2009 while the song will be released to pop radio August 3, 2009.
