Kanye West Disrupts the MTV Video Music Awards Interrupting Taylor Swift

The MTV Video Music Awards is an event that is certainly not a stranger to bizarre occurrences. Unfortunately, what will likely be one of the stranger events of the night took place with the presentation of the first award. As Taylor Swift was accepting the award for Best Female Video, Kanye West took the stage to interrupt her and proclaim that Beyonce's video for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)" was one of the top videos of all time. Cameras cut to an appalled Beyonce and befuddled Taylor Swift. Clearly not expecting this turn of the events, the show then cut to a comedy skit featuring Eminem. Kanye West is clearly a very talented artist, but it becomes very difficult to defend disrespectful actions such as this.

Prior to the unusual interruption of the Best Female Video acceptance, a tremendous salute to Michael Jackson climaxed with Janet Jackson echoing his moves from the classic "Scream" video showing behind her. If you haven't tuned in yet, do so now...the MTV Video Music Awards are fulfilling their reputation of being one of the most unpredictable and fascinating awards celebrations of the year.

I’m hoping Kayne shows up at the upcoming CMA awards and tries that in a house full of cowboys.
