Ethan Boroian, an American on X Factor

I will admit to some bias. It was a pleasing thing to hear an American voice among the contestants on this week's X Factor. However, it is not a biased comment to stay that this American, 19 year old Ethan Boroian, really can sing. Also, it seems that Kings of Leon bring out the best in some auditions. Jamie Archer brought the house down a few weeks back with his version of "Sex On Fire." Now, Ethan Boroian lit up today's audition show singing his version of Kings of Leon's current big hit in the US, "Use Somebody."

There were other quality auditions this week, and my intuition is that we only saw brief snippets of two of the best performers. 25 year old TreyC Cohen, the last of 14 children in her family, demonstrated an effortless conquering of the high notes on "I'm Every Woman." She was followed by 25 year old Karl Lewis who breathed life into Aerosmith's "I Dont' Wanna Miss a Thing." However, both segments were very brief. X Factor continues to find impressive talent as the auditions roll along.
