Agnes Carlsson, otherwise known simply as Agnes, was the winner of Sweden's version of American Idol back in 2005 at the age of 17. She became a pop star in her home country, and this past summer the single "Release Me" went international. The song has been a top 10 smash across Europe and in Australia. It also visited the top 10 of the dance chart in the US.
Now Agnes is crossing the Atlantic hoping to make "Release Me" a major pop hit single in the US. As part of the effort a new music video for "Release Me" has been put together by director Thomas Koss. He said the previous video made Agnes look far too grown up. Check out the new clip below, and enjoy one of the catchiest dance-pop anthems of the year.
