Twilight - New Moon Soundtrack Release Bumped Up to This Friday, October 16, 2009

Twilight: New Moon fans got a welcome surprise today. Chop Shop Records announced today that "due to overwhelming demand," the soundtrack for the upcoming movie Twilight: New Moon will hit stores this Friday, October 16, 2009 instead of the previously scheduled October 20. This means the collection will also be eligible to chart a week earlier. Chop Shop and Atlantic are doing a brilliant job of ramping up the anticipation for the movie soundtrack. The release of Death Cab for Cutie's video for the song "Meet Me On the Equinox" last week was met with great acclaim by fans of the movie series and kudos from music fans and critics as well. Following last week's Friday release of Michael Buble's Crazy Love it seems the traditional stranglehold Tuesday has on the day of the week for major music releases seems to be weakening.
