The countdown has begun on Rihanna's official site. The big question is what exactly it is counting down to. The end time is tomorrow October 20, 2009 at 11:23 a.m. ET. Rihanna's camp promises something big will happen, and the best guess is a new Rihanna single. In a recent interview with Rap-Up, producer Christopher "Tricky" Stewart of "Umbrella" fame revealed that he has recorded a single with Rihanna that he says is a "monster," but he admits he doesn't know if it will be the first or second single. He also reports that the new music marks the evolution of an artist, and Rihanna knows exactly what she wants to say.
Reports came out over the weekend that Rihanna was shooting a new video, so those reports seem to support a new single release in the works. I will be watching closely just like you to see the big Rihanna news tomorrow and then eagerly awaiting a new full-length album November 23, 2009.
