It seems it all started in the wee hours of this morning. MTV cites reports that the origin of the rumors may have been computer hackers. Others wonder if it is some sort of payback for Kanye West's behavior at the MTV Video Music Awards. However, the rumors that proliferated through Twitter, Facebook and Google Search about the demise of Kanye West in a car accident are untrue. West's girlfriend Amber Rose has debunked the rumor with her own statements on Twitter. She typed, "This RIPKanyeWest topic is not funny and its NOT TRUE! He has people like myself and his family that love him very much." The fake stories about a car accident claiming Kanye West's life included a significant amount of detail and even eyewitness statements that appear to be entirely untrue.
