Taylor Swift Scores Longest Charting Album of the Decade
She's not yet turned 20, but Taylor Swift is racking up an incredible record in both country and pop music circles. Now she has set a mark that will be remembered for decades to come in popular music. Her debut album Taylor Swift has now spent longer on the Billboard 200 album chart than any other album this decade, and she will not be passed by year's end. The album has remained on the chart every week since November 11, 2006 for a total of 157 weeks so far. Taylor Swift reached its peak of #5 in January 2008 and last week was holding firm at #60. The album has sold over 4.3 million copies in the US so far. The full top 10 in weeks on the chart for the decade of the 2000's is listed below:
