It seems like X Factor day around here, but as the show winds its way closer to the championship it becomes more relevant to the worldwide pop music scene. The overall quality of contestant performances is going up, and the guest performers are major world pop stars. This week, outside of the results drama, the Black Eyed Peas got the opportunity to demonstrate why they dominated the US pop singles chart for six months this year. They are the face of American pop music in 2009. The group took the stage on X Factor to sing current single "Meet Me Halfway" and effortlessly turned in the top guest performance of the show's season so far.
