33 year old Stephen Gately of the boy band Boyzone passed away suddenly last October. The circumstances of his death have been under investigation ever since. Now the final results of his autopsy have determined that his demise was due to natural causes. He died from an undiagnosed heart condition that likely caused premature thickening of arteries that resulted in a heart attack. Alcohol and marijuana were present in his body, but they did not contribute to the death.
Boyzone were formed when manager Louis Walsh, now a judge on X Factor, advertised for singers to form a new boy band that would be a sort of Irish version of Take That. The group came together in 1993 and released their first album Said and Done in late 1994. The group ultimately generated four #1 albums in the UK and 17 top 10 pop singles. The group broke up in 2000 but reunited in 2007.
