Also hailing from the Caribbean by birth, Rihanna told a Norwegian talk show last night that she feels pulled to support the cause of relief for Haiti's earthquake victims in part because of Haiti's geographical proximity to her home nation of Barbados. Tonight at the Hope for Haiti Telethon, she will debut a new single titled "Stranded" performed with Jay-Z and Bono of U2. Rolling Stone reports that Bono wrote the hook to "Stranded" while he was on the phone with producer Swizz Beatz. The idea behind the song is letting the people of Haiti know they will not be left "Stranded." The song will premiere tonight at the Hope for Haiti telethon, and the single itself is expected to be available on iTunes soon after.
