It will be a bit of a reunion and reminder of the glories of last season when Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta take the American Idol stage this Thursday, February 25, 2010 as part of the new season's first results show. Kris Allen was last years American Idol winner. Allison Iraheta finished fourth, but she was the final female contestant to be eliminated. In addition to singing, Kris Allen will also be sharing video and comments from his recent trip to Haiti.

Kris Allen is expected to perform the Beatles' classic "Let It Be." He is currently in the top 25 on pop singles charts with his hit "Live Like We're Dying." Allison Iraheta will be singing her new single "Scars." She will be hoping the performance gives her a boost in sales. Her debut album peaked at a relatively weak #31 on the charts and the first single "Friday I'll Be Over U" failed to make a significant chart dent.

Should be a great show. I understand Kris’ version of “Let it Be” will be available for download after the show with proceeds going to Haiti relief. Kris and Allison have had several gigs together and will be together again in March. He said that his performance on Thursday is not about him but about Haiti so he’s performing an “inspirational” song. Understand that but can’t wait until he appears again and plays one of the songs from his album.
