When I caught up with Young & Divine's JP by phone recently, he told me, in reference to the band's live shows, "If we're not what you talk about the rest of the night, we didn't really do our job." Something tells me that soon many fans may be talking about Young & Divine much longer than just for the night of their show. They are signed to RCA Records and are celebrating a new EP that just hit stores last week with a full-length album to come later in the year.

Young & Divine came together when JP got to know Joe in a college psychology class. JP shared his songs and soon they were recording music together. When Young & Divine decided to head out on the road they recruited Jake on guitar and vocals making it a full three piece group. Green Day and Oasis are key influences according to JP. However, he says Young & Divine have "something for everybody" and there are no real boundaries to what the group can do.

The band's first single was "Shake That Bubble," an upbeat, energetic pop-rock gem. JP is also very fond of the positive vibe on "Bonus Track" which kicks off both the EP and album to come. Check out one of RCA's hottest new acts of the year, and look to hear much more about Young & Divine in the months to come.
