Susan Boyle Crying Over Lou Reed Song "Perfect Day" - The Story Unfolds

Yesterday TMZ reported that Susan Boyle had walked away from a planned performance on America's Got Talent because legendary performer Lou Reed had refused to allow her to perform his song "Perfect Day." The report went further to say that she broke down in tears at not being able to perform the song, and, instead, simply headed to the airport for a plane home. As is often the case, more details are emerging to fill in the rest of the story.

Access Hollywood is now reporting that Lou Reed's representatives indicate that he did not in fact refuse to allow Susan Boyle to perform the song. They say that due to a legal glitch the rights to perform the song had not been cleared in the US prior to airtime for the show. Unfortunately "Perfect Day" was the only song that Susan Boyle had rehearsed, so she did not have a backup to perform. TMZ has responded early this morning claiming they have access to e-mail that indicates Lou Reed did personally snub Susan Boyle and did not allow a performance of the song. The UK's Mirror goes even further with the story to report that Susan Boyle broke down even more in the airport and was hurling peanuts around the first class lounge and wailing, "Why doesn't he like me?" Prepare for the story to continue to unfold.
