Britney Spears debuted the music video for her #1 pop hit "Hold It Against Me" tonight and it is stellar visually. The clip was directed by Jonas Akerlund who is best known for his work on Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" and "Telephone." The colors, camera angles, and dancing along with a fantasy fight scene all make this video well worth seeing. It is difficult to know whether ultimately this music video will match the impact of Britney Spears' classics "...Baby One More Time" and "Toxic," but this is certainly one of her best. The publicity buildup of a new teaser each of the last 14 days leading into the release of the "Hold It Against Me" clip was one of the most extensive ever for a music video. The album Femme Fatale is due in stores March 29, 2011.
