For those who were waiting for another mainstream pop-oriented song from B.o.B., you will have to wait a little longer. "Strange Clouds," the first single from his upcoming second album, is harder edged hip hop. It definitely has a catchy, melodic chorus, but the rhymes hit hard. Lil Wayne is a guest here, and the two voices and sensibilities blend well. Lyrically, the song is focused on self-promotion and dismissal of any haters. "Strange Clouds" leaked just a bit early. You will be able to purchase the song next week beginning October 3, 2011.
B.o.B. stormed to the top of pop singles charts early in 2010 with "Nothin' On You." It introduced B.o.B. and featured artist Bruno Mars to mainstream pop audiences. "Nothin' On You" was followed by the #2 smash "Airplanes." When the dust settled B.o.B. had a #1 debut album, a third top 10 hit single as lead artist and a featured appearance on Jessie J's #1 UK smash "Price Tag." He was also nominated for five Grammy Awards. The second album is expected either very late this year or in early 2012.
