Ever wonder what happened to the spirit of classic punk and new wave? The band Sharks are proof that is still alive and well. The band have been building a serious buzz in the UK since the release of their 2008 EP Shallow Waters. The release in 2011 of a compilation of previously released tracks titled The Joys Of Living: 2008-2010 along with a spot on Warped Tour introduced the band to US audiences. Alternative Press has now identified Sharks as part of the "Most Anticipated Music of 2012."
Yesterday, January 3, 2012, Sharks' new single "Arcane Effigies" debuted on the BBC's Radio One. The bracing, guitar fueled track will be available for purchase on iTunes in the US January 9, 2012. It is the first single from the band's upcoming debut full-length studio album No Gods due to hit stores March 20, 2012. Meanwhile the band will be touring in the US with Social Distortion beginning the end of January. Check out "Arcane Effigies" below.
