Official music videos are almost never this much fun. Last weekend a group of young pop stars, Justin Bieber, his girlfriend Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale, and members of Big Time Rush among them, released a lip-synched homemade style video interpretation of Carly Rae Jepsen's #1 Canadian pop hit "Call Me Maybe." It has become a viral sensation having been viewed more than eight million times. It is for good reason. The whole clip is pure good-natured fun.
As if the popularity of the clip wasn't enough, Carly Rae Jepsen has had a very good week indeed. "Call Me Maybe" received its official US release and is at #15 and climbing on the iTunes chart. She has also been signed by Justin Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun to School Boy Records. Check out Carly Rae Jepsen's own response to her signing and meeting Justin Bieber in person. Then check out the "Call Me Maybe" video below. It's a great way to kick off the weekend.
