With a tumble to #12, this is the first week Adele's worldwide smash album 21 has been outside of the top 10 on the UK album chart since its release in January 2011. During that time 21 spent 23 weeks at #1 and sold over 4.3 million copies bypassing Michael Jackson's Thriller to become the fifth biggest selling album in the UK of all time. In an interesting coincidence 21 is expected to return to #1 in the US this week with its 24th week at the top making it one more week on top of the chart here in the US than it spent in the UK. 21 has been in the top 10 in the US for 67 weeks. Only one single from 21 hit #1 on the pop singles chart in the UK while three of them went to the top in the US.
