Olympics Coverage Boosts Phillip Phillips' "Home" Into the iTunes Top 10

It has been a week of good news for this year's American Idol champion Phillip Phillips. His debut single "Home" has entered the top 20 at adult contemporary radio. Also, this past week "Home" was certified gold for sales of over 500,000 copies. Now, perhaps the most important news for Phillip Phillips' future as a mainstream pop artist. "Home" was used last night in primetime Olympic coverage to introduce gymnastics, a perennial favorite of Olympics viewers. As a result, the song has now powered its way into the top 10 of the iTunes digitial sales chart. When last checked the track was sitting comfortably at #6. Phillip Phillips is still working on his debut album which is expected this fall. He says the music is a combination of rock, jazz, and funk. Check out "Home" below.
