Nicki Minaj's new single "Pound the Alarm" may sound a little too similar to "Starships" to hold interest while listening, but the new music video gives plenty of eye-filling spectacle. Filmed in Nicki Minaj's native Trinidad on July 4, 2012, the clip features dancers clad in bright-colored, feathered carnival costume. There is gorgeous scenery from the island as well, and, of course, Nicki Minaj herself accompanied by a massive fireworks display. Benny Boom, a collaborator on two previous efforts, directed the music video. "Pound the Alarm" is the follow up to the top 5 pop hit single "Starships."
