The nominations for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards were announced this morning. The nomination leaders are Rihanna and Drake with five nods each. They share a nomination for Video of the Year in their collaboration "Take Care." Following closely behind is Katy Perry, last year's Video of the Year winner, who was nominated in four categories. This year's MTV Video Music Awards will be presented September 6, 2012. The ceremonies will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
