When the latest edition of the Billboard Hot 100 is released tomorrow morning, Carly Rae Jepsen's breakthrough hit single "Call Me Maybe" will be sitting at #1 for a ninth consecutive week. That means it surpasses Gotye's big hit "Somebody That I Used To Know" to become the longest reigning #1 hit of 2012 so far. There have been only three #1 singles over the last 23 weeks. The third of these #1 hits is fun.'s "We Are Young." Rising three notches this week to #2 will be Ellie Goulding's breakthrough "Lights," and it could take over the #1 spot next week. "Call Me Maybe" has also reached another landmark this week by surpassing five million in digital sales. The pop music world will be eagerly awaiting the release of Carly Rae Jepsen's album Kiss on September 18, 2012.
