Keep your eyes open. Imagine Dragons may just be the next alternative pop band to make it big in the mainstream. The group first entered the studio together in 2009 and have been a strong upward trajectory ever since. That movement accelerated with the release of the single "It's Time" on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2012. The song immediately began attracting spots on TV including promotions for the Wimbledon tennis tournament and the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. The result thus far has been that the song reached the top 10 on both the alternative and rock songs chart.
Imagine Dragons will see their next big burst of attention in September, the month their debut album Night Visions is released. In addition, the music video for "It's Time" has been nominated for an MTV Video Music Award. That ceremony takes place September 6, 2012, just two days after release of the album. Then "It's Time" will be covered in the season debut of Glee September 13. In addition the band will be setting out on a coast to coast tour opening for AWOLNATION throughout September and October. Keep your eyes open for Imagine Dragons.
