This week Carly Rae Jepsen's duet with Owl City, the summer pop anthem "Good Time," rises into the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. That means Carly Rae Jepsen has climbed into the top 10 with both of her first two chart singles. The first, of course, was the mega-smash "Call Me Maybe." Carly Rae Jepsen is the first female artist, listed as a lead artist on the single, to accomplish this feat since Ke$ha went to #1 for nine weeks with her debut hit "Tik Tok" (interestingly, the same number of weeks "Call Me Maybe" spent at the top) and followed it with the #7 hit "Blah Blah Blah" in early 2010. Carly Rae Jepsen will be looking for more pop hits when her album Kiss hits stores September 18, 2012. She has said of the new music, "The record is pop...I can't wait to share it with everyone!" Carly Rae Jepsen won two Teen Choice awards this year for Breakout Artist and Top Summer Single, "Call Me Maybe."
