According to Billboard magazine, Avril Lavigne's next album is complete and in the mixing process. Reportedly she enlisted the help of her new fiancee, Nickelback lead vocalist Chad Kroeger. L.A. Reid, head of Epic Records, says that he hopes to have the new collection in stores by the end of 2012, but, if not, it will be an early 2013 release.
Avril Lavigne's last album Goodbye Lullaby, released in March, 2011, was a relative commercial disappointment compared with her three previous studio albums. It only reached #4 on the album chart and was her first album to fail to generate any top 10 pop hit singles. The new album will be an effort to get Avril Lavigne's career back on track both artistically and commercially. Her first three studio albums were all certified platinum and beyond.
