Adele's return to the classic sound of James Bond songs is finding an eager audience. "Skyfall" was released last Thursday night and has been on top of the iTunes sales chart ever since. Even though it is a short week for the new song, it is expected to debut in the top 5 on Billboard's digital singles sales chart with sales in the range of 200,000 - 250,000. Pop radio has also been tremendously receptive with "Skyfall" soaring into the top 40 already on the mainstream pop radio airplay chart. Over at adult pop and adult contemporary it is doing even better. "Skyfall" has already debuted at #4 on the UK pop singles chart. Expect a boost in sales of the song when the Skyfall film hits theaters in the UK October 26, 2012 and the US November 9, 2012. The song is Adele's first new studio recorded music since the album 21 was released in early 2011 and went on to be ranked among the top selling albums of all time.
