This may be a good luck omen for X Factor's new manufactured girl group currently named The Lylas. Reportedly, Bruno Mars' backup singers, consisting of his female siblings, refer to themselves as The Lylas and they want the new X Factor group to find another name. Last year in the UK, a girl group put together by X Factor judges called themselves Rhythmix but were then forced to change their name when it was discovered it conflicted with the name of a charity. The result was the newly dubbed Little Mix who went on to win the entire competition. So far it looks like the X Factor Lylas will comply and come up with a new signature.
The Lylas are a group of girls who originally auditioned as solo artists but after being eliminated the judges put them together to form a girl band. They are now being mentored by Simon Cowell providing echoes of the rise of One Direction in the UK. X Factor is currently on a brief hiatus during the baseball World Series, and it will return with the beginning of live shows on November 1, 2012.
