Robbie Williams made a threat when speaking on BBC's Radio 1, "I don't want to emotionally blackmail the whole nation but if 'Candy's' not a hit, I am not touring. I'm gonna stay in and look for UFOs. And I'm gonna get all beardy and all fat again!" Fortunately, it looks like we don't have to endure a "fat and beardy" Robbie Williams, at least not yet. "Candy" is on target to debut at #1 this week on the UK pop singles chart. It will be his first chart topping single since "Radio" went to the top in 2004. That will make 7 #1 hits overall and a phenomenal 29 top 10 hits as a lead artist. "Radio" is the first single from the album Take the Crown which hits stores this weekend. 2009's Reality Killed the Video Star was Robbie Williams' first solo studio album to miss #1. He is looking for a chart recovery and his 10th #1 hit album including two greatest hits compilations. Robbie Williams is one of the most successful male solo artists of all time with worldwide sales in excess of 60 million despite a relative lack of success in the US.
